Our client wanted a mudroom in their basement that would maximize storage without feeling dark and cramped.  We optimized the space by designing wall-to-wall built-in storage to fit all of the family’s seasonal clothing and sports equipment, plus a place for the kids to sit and get ready and a sink to clean messy boots. For finishes, we combined a textured wood grain with glossy white lacquer and marble arabesque tile. In the gym, we designed two custom furniture pieces for storage and incorporated two frosted glass panels between the gym and mudroom to optimize lighting. The result is a modern, elegant and above all functional space.
